Backgrounder
Colonel Venu Gopal was commissioned in the Army Ordnance Corps (Logistic Corps of the Indian Army) in December 1986, and has specialized in the field of Material Management. He has held varied appointments to include Command of an Infantry Divisional Ordnance Unit, and as Director Oradanance Services at Army Headquarters where he was instrumental in providing effective and efficient Logistic support to the entire Indian Army for requirements against General Stores items.
